Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 July 2026

1. About ChildApart

ChildApart (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a mobile-first web app to help separated parents coordinate childcare — including shared messaging, a shared care calendar, a document vault, and premium features. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Premium features are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout in GBP and include applicable taxes where required. Subscriptions auto-renew each month until you cancel. Promo codes may reduce the price for one or more billing cycles and are non-transferable.

The “Both Parents” plan covers you and one linked co-parent that you nominate. You can change or remove the covered co-parent at any time from your account.

4. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel any time from the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep premium access until the end of your current paid period. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.

5. Messaging and permanent records

Messages between co-parents cannot be edited or deleted by either party once sent, and can be exported as a PDF transcript. Language is automatically cleaned before sending to encourage constructive communication. You must not use ChildApart to harass, threaten, or abuse anyone.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload unlawful content, infringe others’ rights, attempt to bypass security or subscription controls, or use ChildApart to make legal, medical, or safety decisions without appropriate professional advice. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

7. Guidance content

The co-parenting and childcare guidance in the app is general information, not legal, medical, or psychological advice. For your specific situation, consult a qualified professional.

8. Liability

ChildApart is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Contact
